I started my journey in photography back in the 80's, when I purchased my first SLR. My uncle was a renown photographer in Burbank, CA...and I found that I had a natural talent for capturing interesting images. My mom was a fantastic artist/painter, and I grew up in a house filled with her art. So when I started taking photos, it was always with an artistic frame of mind, and I soon found myself shooting odd photos of trash heaps, light poles, interesting clouds and the like. My friends thought it was a bit odd, but I always shot what I found interesting...not necessarily what others think is interesting. And that philosophy holds true to this day.
Once digital cameras came out, I was an early adopter of the technology. I realized that it would be a while before they could rival the quality of film, but that didn't stop me from putting them to the test. True to my prediction, several years after my first Nikon CoolPix 2.3MP camera I was shooting with a Nikon D100...which was getting closer to film. Of course currently there are hundreds of models that shoot excellent quality. However, I believe there is still an art to getting a really good image. I've also experimented with doing my own printing on many different mediums, as well as using vendors for their printing services. That technology has come such a long way, and I am very pleased to be able to offer my prints through SkyLine Printing.
I've shot for Fortune 500 companies, magazines, books, televsion programs, and celebrities. I've shot weddings, barmitzvahs, parties, sporting events, grand openings and on and on. I've taken photos in the grimiest factories all the way to fanciest penthouse apartments. But everything I do has that one thread in common...I shoot with an eye towards art. So it was no accident that after decades of shooting I've found myself with quite a repertoire of imagery. I've done gallery shows, juried exhibits and online compeitions, and have many awards to my name. I've sold pieces all over the world, as well as to neighbors and friends.
But until now I haven't had any one place as a collection to show my body of work as a whole, and thus why I partnered with ArtStoreFronts to make my art easily available to the public.
I hope you enjoy looking through my images, and that you might find something that piques your interest enough to invest in a copy for your own home or office. I appreciate each and every piece of art I have sold, and I look forward to ever adding to my portfolio and to always keep making quality art.
